The footbridge is situated near Prishtina Airport, in Sllatina village on the M9 regional road that connects Prishtina to Peja. The staircase and elevators on either side of the footbridge run parallel to the road. The main purpose of the footbridge is to provide a safe passage for pedestrians to cross the road. Accessibility is a fundamental aspect that paves the way for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the benefits of public facilities in their daily lives. This infrastructure serves as a vital link between the two parts of the village, facilitating access to everyday life.
The design of the footbridge is significantly influenced by the narrow space in which it is located. The building's function is simple - to provide access to the upper levels via stairs and elevators starting from the ground floor and reaching a height of 5.44 meters. The footbridge connects the stairs to the upper levels and spans over the M9 regional road. Per the investor's request, the footbridge is designed as a closed structure, while the stairs are covered.
